We've had a lot of back and forth with the weather this winter, and the past month or so has been pretty chilly (by Southern standards anyway). But in the last week we've finally started to see some telltale signs of spring.
Daffodils and Okame cherry trees are usually some of the first to bloom here.
For the past few years the Okame cherries started flowering in late January, so I guess they needed some extra beauty rest this year.
Even though robins are year-round residents in Georgia, I still think of them as harbingers of spring. This week they were everywhere, and two of them were gracious enough to ham it up for the camera. What a treat when a bird poses so nicely for a portrait!
Spring is always bursting with fun things to photograph, and I'm looking forward to sharing more of them soon.
